Explanation:
This dish is of impressive size. It was originally silvered and is engraved with the arms of the 3rd Sir Rowland Winn, Bart., of Nostell Priory, West Yorkshire, and his wife Letitia (née Harbord).
A surviving suite of silver second course dishes and a basin, bearing the identical armorial, have London assay marks for 1716 and all bar two of them have the mark of David Willaume I, the eminent Huguenot silversmith
